As part of Farm Aid weekend, on Friday, Sept. 20th, there will be tours of three local farms, including Pleasant Valley Farm in Argyle, a vendor at Saratoga Farmers’ Market.
Three farms from Saratoga Farmers’ Market participate in the annual tour: Argyle Cheese Farmer; Homestead Artisans at Longview Farm; and Sweet Spring Farm. Three additional farms as well.
Washington County Fair runs August 19 through 25 in Greenwich, just a short drive from Saratoga Springs. “Enjoy the food, the special events, the great rides and more animals than anywhere else.”
At the market on Wednesday, August 21 between 3 and 6 p.m., you can learn how to blanche, freeze and can tomatoes. Plus, pick up some salsa recipes.
Each Wednesday during July, beginning July 10th, we will highlight a different type of product and introduce you to the farmers who bring it to market. Short talks will be given by some of the farmers selling the featured products beginning at 4:45 p.m. at the red tent, across from the green market information shed.

On July 23 at Malta Market, kids can explore Stuffee, the 7′ learning doll from The Children’s Museum at Saratoga, and learn to make a tasty, healthy recipe with food from local farms.
The dozen farms and vendors of the Malta Farmers’ Market will gather every Tuesday afternoon from 3-6 p.m., from June through October, at 2570 Route 9 (Allerdice parking lot), just south of Malta Community Center.
Our twice-weekly outdoor market at the pavilions at High Rock Park resumes on May 1. Hours: Wednesdays 3 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Saturday, January 26th, taste samples of fresh, local soups made by our vendors. (10 a.m. to noon)
