THE 2010 OUTDOOR MARKET SEASON may be half over, but the bounty in the market is at peak levels!! The tomatoes are juicy sweet and plentiful. Late season raspberries have started making their appearance just as the blackberries and blueberries are declining. The flower vendors are bursting with glorious mid summer color and our vegetable farmers have more local product than you can imagine: squash, corn, beans, greens, carrots, beets, herbs, peppers–from the usual to the unusual–but all local and freshly picked. There is gelato, sorbets, milk, cheeses, meat, yogurts, baked goods, jams, wine, crafts and prepared foods. This year we added mushrooms and vegan dips and some gluten free items–we have more vendors than ever! And remember all product sold at the market is locally grown and/or locally made.
