The market is excited to participate in Chowderfest this year! On February 1, we will have a special market chowder (gluten-free) created by Zest, one of our vendors. The chowder will include locally-sourced ingredients from market farms:
- Spicy sausage from Elihu Farm
- Kale and onions from Gomez Veggie Ville
- Sweet potatoes from Quincy Farm
- Milk from Battenkill Valley Creamery
- Cheese from Argyle Cheese Farmer
Chowder will be accompanied by:
- Cheddar cheese discs by The Chocolate Spoon
- Tortilla strips from Funky Fresh Foods
- Homemade crackers by Saratoga Cracker
As with all Chowderfest samples, you pay $1 for a 3-ounce portion, and have the opportunity to vote on the event ballot.
Because Chowderfest’s official hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., our chowder will be served at the Lincoln Baths during the market from 11-1 (visit the second floor), and then from 1-4 at Saratoga Botanicals, 80 Henry Street, just down the street from the library and around the corner from The Parting Glass.

We greatly appreciate Saratoga Botanicals hosting the market’s chowder table (from 1 to 4 p.m.) in front of the store’s new location on Henry Street.
