The markets are currently full for vendors but you are welcome to apply for our waitlist on our website at: https://www.saratogafarmersmarket.org/vendor/. Our regular application cycles are in January (for summer markets) and August (for winter markets) and can be accessed through the link above as well.
Please note that we do not use wooden market tokens anymore – all our vendors take cash and many accept credit, just ask! Old debit/credit market tokens are still being honored.
Rain or shine, outdoor markets will run as usual. Only in exceptional circumstances, including severe thunderstorms, might the market close early or be paused for a brief period of time.
There is limited street parking available on High Rock Ave and a parking garage located between Maple and High Rock Ave. The High Rock Ave parking garage (on the south end of the market) offers one free hour of parking for customers, with a fee of $1 for every hour after that. Other parking options are available in the downtown area.
Yes! Our market Gift Certificates are available for purchase at the market information shed at our Saratoga markets. The gift certificates go up to $25 each (but you can always purchase multiple if you need a greater amount). You can use this gift certificate with any of our vendors. We accept credit/debit and cash.
We have some vendors who are USDA Organic or follow organic practices and are otherwise certified (via Certified Naturally Grown); other vendors use conventional growing methods. All our producers use their own products at home and are mindful of fertilizers and pest-control methods they introduce. If you have a preference for growing methods, please ask at the market information tent in Saratoga and we will help to find vendors who meet your criteria. In Clifton Park, just inquire with the vendors.
Yes, some of our farms offer Community Supported Agriculture arrangements, allowing people to buy a share of the farm’s season in advance and then pick up a weekly portion of the harvest. Most farms offering such arrangements have information at their booths where you can find out more, or stop by the market information tent at the Saratoga markets for more information.
In order to set up an information table at a Saratoga market, you need to fill out our non-profit application form. No fundraising is allowed at the market. You will receive a space assignment on the day of your appearance from the Market Manager – we cannot guarantee a specific location in advance of your arrival.
We always welcome service animals at the market. Other dogs can pose certain challenges—sometimes unexpected even to their owners—especially regarding small children, sanitation, and interactions with other dogs. If you choose to bring your dog to the market, please be prepared to fully supervise your pet at all times and take responsibility for its actions, and follow these “Market Manners for Dogs” guidelines.
Many of our farms accept WIC and Seniors farmers’ market coupons. Ask the vendor directly or stop by the market information table to receive a list of approved farms. We encourage you to take full advantage of your benefits. If you participate in a public assistance program and need tips on how to prepare foods from the market, call a Cornell Cooperative Extension nutrition educator at 518-885-8995 (free service).
At the Saratoga markets, you can present your EBT card at the market information tent and receive wooden $1 and/or $5 tokens. You will also receive a free $2 FreshConnect coupon (also to be used on SNAP-eligible items at the market) for each $5 you spend off your EBT card. At the Clifton Park markets, you will need to inquire with vendors directly if they accept SNAP/EBT.
At the Wednesday and Saturday markets an ATM will be available at the market information shed while supplies last.
At the Saratoga markets, please see market staff at the market information shed. You can also use the Contact page and send in your question, and we’ll get back to you.
There is a public bathroom at High Rock Park to the left of the market information shed along with a port-a-potty located near the fountains.
